1080p Full HD Display, Faster Performance, Longer Battery Life, and Alexa Hands-Free—now only $149.99
Today Amazon announced the latest generation of our largest tablet, the all-new Fire HD 10. It’s a device that really lets your app or game shine, sporting faster performance, more storage, longer battery life, and a brilliant 10.1” display. Resolution has jumped to 1920 x 1200—more than twice as many pixels as before—so you can give your users a widescreen 1080p full HD experience. This version also doubles the RAM, which when coupled with the ultra-fast quad-core processor, achieves 30 percent faster performance over its predecessor. The all-new Fire HD 10 also offers up to 10 hours of mixed-use battery life for even longer app and game play.
We didn’t limit the improvements to developer-friendly hardware, though; Fire HD 10 also introduces Alexa hands-free for the first time on a Fire tablet. Just ask Alexa to open an app or game, play or pause a video, find music, dim the lights, set a timer, show your calendar, and more, simply by using your voice.
On top of everything else, the new Fire HD 10 is a screaming deal at just $149.99, available for pre-order starting today.
Get discovered by the right customers
Fire HD 10 includes For You, a new personalized page on the tablet home screen designed to optimize the individual experience for each customer. For You learns what a customer loves to do on the tablet, then presents personalized recommendations across a variety of entertainment categories like books, videos, apps, and music. Customers get more out of their tablet because they can jump right to reading, watching, playing, or listening to content that aligns with their interests.
For You (now available on previous-generation Fire tablets, as well) increases the chances that users will see something they like, which improves conversion. It helps your trivia or puzzle game, for example, reach the right audience: trivia lovers. Customers with other interests see other kinds of content. Once they’ve found you, Amazon Coins let them buy your apps, games, and in-game items at a discount—while you still earn your full 70 percent revenue share. Go hands-free on Fire HD 10 with Alexa
Alexa, the brain behind Amazon Echo, is now available on the all-new Fire HD 10, enabling a hands-free experience for customers. No need to touch a button to use the service; just say “Alexa” to interact with content using voice. Developers can use the Alexa Skills Kit to add capabilities, or skills, to Alexa. Skills enable customers to play music, get the latest news, sports scores, weather, and more. Visit our developer portal to start building skills for Alexa.
